Programme Associate - Education

Education Programme

Half the children in the rural areas where we work do not attend school, and over a third has never been to school. Through our Shiksha Kendras (bridge schools) and Residential Learning Camps, we offer 6,000 out-of-school children access to quality primary education every year, whilst our scholarship programme offers access to quality secondary education. At a deeper level, by educating thousands of first-generation learners and striving for equal enrolment of girls, we are slowly transforming the demand for quality education among families from the most disadvantaged backgrounds, empowering young people to achieve their best.
Required Qualifications:

• MA-Education/ MA- Social Works
• 3-4 years of work experience in the field of Education Development
• Excellent English writing skills (Compulsory)


• Working directly with children and teachers in education.
• Support Instructors & implementation team to ensure targets are reached and provide appropriate support to Shiksha Kendra (as per programme design) so that students receive quality education and life skill sessions aligned to the standards set for this programme.
• Conduct field visits (which will include overnight stays) to ensure the smooth and quality function of Shiksha Kendras and conducting community meetings as per the programme design. Identification of out-of-school children for the Residential Learning Camp (RLC) and other required support at an organisational level.
• Planning and undertaking of teachers training (quarterly and annual) and planning quarterly and monthly reviews with the respective reporting person.
• Participate in any other activities that may be required to be undertaken to fulfil the objectives of the organisation.
• Undertake donor/government stakeholder visits to programme locations and provide information to donors/stakeholders about the programme and organisation as needed.
• Exploring opportunities in various level (state, district, block, and cluster) for sharing updates and best practices about the programme.
• Ensure monthly budget forecasts and re-appropriation of spending funds, and track implementation and spending patterns of planning along with annual planning and budgeting at the block level.
• Reporting and documentation as per the organisational structure and funder's requirement review and analyse data as needed.
• Submit monthly and quarterly report to INCO with quality inputs.
